Halifax Sport Fishing Club 2024 Seminars


The Halifax Sport Fishing Club will be kicking off their 2024 Seminars!


The series will start by welcoming back Chef Slavic from Down the Hatch Restaurant on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Down the Hatch features some of the best food and seafood that Ponce Inlet has to offer.

Chef Slavic has been the General Manager there for 24 years. Chef Slavic’s presentation will include a demonstration of various techniques for preparing and grilling seafood. He will share some recipes of a few menu items served at the restaurant and have samples available for everyone to try. Doors open at 6:30 PM, a brief business meeting at 7:00 PM, and the seminar at 7:30 PM.




February 15th will feature Captain Daniel Levesque owner and operator of Rare Breed Charters and Gobblers Lodge. Captain Daniel has been fishing out of Ponce Inlet for many years and has won numerous fishing tournaments. His team was the overall winner of the HSFC 21st Offshore Challenge with the winning Wahoo. His topic will be about high speed trolling for Wahoo. He will also talk a bit about bow hunting and tell you about the Gobbler’s Lodge 3D Archery Range and Pro Shop in Osteen. The doors will open at 5:00pm with multiple vendors and a taco bar provided by Millie’s Restaurant. There will also be raffle

drawings.
